For such a large country with virous natural landscapes and diverse cultures, like China, we find that the most immersive way to make our guests dive deeply into the local life of a region, and to explore the hidden corners and appreciate nuances while enjoying the benefits and great satisfaction of traveling is hiking. These are the experiences one is not able to have on the wheel of a car or a tour bus, or from the deck of a cruise boat. During China Expedition Tours’ Hiking Tours, we provide knowledgeable guides, featured local accommodations and organic meals, and opportunities for you to communicate with the locals, which you could never organize on your own. You have enough time to observe, to listen to, to touch and to experience the nature and to learn about the local Chinese culture from a different viewpoint.

For your convenience, we categorize our China Hiking Tours into two types. Some of our Hiking Tours include several cities/areas with hiking trails, while the other focus on only one or two certain cities/areas.

We booked three-day trekking on the Great Wall. It was far beyond our expectation. Hiking the Great Wall is the best option to get to know the history of the Wall and had the awesome view of it. The section we trekked are most unrecovered and remote part of the Great Wall. Our guide, Richard is very friendly and professional. We learnt a lot from him about the history of the Great Wall. And we were lucky enough to view beautiful sunrise and sunset. It is well worth the long hiking. We highly recommend the tour for anyone who want to visit the Great Wall.
