By the end of 2019 (before the break out of Covid-19), we’ve got more than 40 full-time and more than 100 half-time foreign language speaking tour guides all over this country. For a long China tour of more than a week, we may choose a local home for our customer’s stay for 1 or 2 nights instead of a hotel. What do we do during the homestay time? Just imagine a video in your mind. “Check in” to your host’s apartment or house after lunch. Go to the rooms the host prepared for you. Then follow the hostess to walk to a local market to buy all the materials and ingredients for the dinner. Come back home and follow the hostess to cook your own homemade Chinese meal. That is a real Chinese meal! Enjoy your dinner and then have a chat with the host while sipping some Chinese tea in an authentic way. The host always tells lots of stories about his family, about his town or city. If you are okay, follow them to have a walk in the nearby community. The next morning, some typical local breakfast is ready when you wake up. Follow the host and hostess to do some morning exercises or simply jog and talk in a nearby park. We booked three-day trekking on the Great Wall. It was far beyond our expectation. Hiking the Great Wall is the best option to get to know the history of the Wall and had the awesome view of it. The section we trekked are most unrecovered and remote part of the Great Wall. Our guide, Richard is very friendly and professional. We learnt a lot from him about the history of the Great Wall. And we were lucky enough to view beautiful sunrise and sunset. It is well worth the long hiking. We highly recommend the tour for anyone who want to visit the Great Wall.

Alex also has a good command of the English language and a good sense of humor. Alex was very attentive, punctual and could easily resolve whatever issue we brought up. I would highly recommend Alex for any tour. He wondered why he wasn’t our guide on Monday at the orphanage and I told him that for some reason a Linn from BLAS got involved for that arrangement and I thought she was with the government in order to get us into the orphanage. Alex told us to call him if there were any problems.

Guilin is a very lovely city in my mind but we don't arrange more time there. Soon we went to Kunming and continued our tour with another exellent guide. And the last tour in Beijing, the Forbidden City was very informative. The environment in Beijing restaurants was outstanding, have never seen such beautiful restaurants, so stylishly decorated before! Hotels were very good for the most part as well as their breakfasts.
